Kothamooriyattam,an interactive folk form was performed after the felicitation ceremony.Interestingly,this was one of the many art forms,which were archived more than 40 years back by Mr.Govind Vidyarthi for the SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI Delhi,making sure this rare folk art form found recognition outside of its native region.

I salute you for an excellent work being done very discreetly and silently. I read the article about "Vidyarthi Samman" in The Hindu, Cinema Plus of last Friday just now.
We, are really impressed.
Sir, you must be having proper yardsticks in selecting the awardees for this prestigious samman. In this regard, I wish to suggest that The Hindu, on every Sunday, in their magazine section publishes about such organisations and persons who do yeoman service of unique nature in their coloumn "India Beats". Some from that lot also deserve encouragement for similar awards.
